Holy Mountain Prayer Card – A Tool for Deep Contemplation and Meditation
These Holy Mountain Spiritual Temple prayer cards have been a long-time dream of mine, and it’s surreal to finally bring them into existence. Designed for contemplation and meditation, these cards feature a metallic silver embossed front and come laminated and dressed in one of my Temple formulas.
Why You’ll Love It:
- Sacred Symbols: The front of the card displays the complete Holy Mountain banner, while the back, for the first time, reveals the mysteries behind each symbol, offering a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at play.
- Durable and Infused with Power: Laminated for durability, each card is dressed in a specially formulated Temple blend, making it a powerful tool for spiritual work.
- Guided Contemplation: The symbols on the card guide you through a spiritual journey, connecting the celestial with the terrestrial, the infinite with the finite, and life with death.
The Symbolism Explained:
- Roman Numerals (VIII, VI, V, III): Representing the Sun, Moon, Saturn, and Mercury, these form the framework of our perspective—balancing singularity and multiplicity, boundary and transcendence.
- Hebrew Letters (Aleph, Mem, Tav): Aleph signifies the beginning, Mem the middle, and Tav the end, symbolizing creation, growth, and death. Together, they form the word "Emet" (Truth), with the last two letters "Met" (Death), emphasizing the cyclical nature of life and the balance between life and death.
- The Owl and Scythe: The owl, connected to the soul’s passage between life and death, sits atop the scythe, symbolizing the mortal boundary. The owl also represents wisdom and insight, guiding the soul through transitions. The radiant Aleph above signifies the infinite source from which all life flows.
- Hexagram with Cross: Signifying humanity’s place in the universe, the hexagram interlocks celestial and terrestrial forces, while the cross represents the intersection of material and spiritual life. This symbol also alludes to the cycles of life, death, and rebirth.
- Hourglass with Skull: The hourglass symbolizes the passage of time and the finite nature of human life. The skull within it serves as a memento mori, reminding us of mortality. The two drops represent the choices we make—our medicine and our poison—affecting our journey on the Holy Mountain.
- Sword and Serpent: The sword, inscribed with the name of Archangel Michael, descends as an instrument of divine justice and righteousness, severing the serpent that symbolizes lower, base instincts. The act of severing reveals the dual forces of medicine and poison, emphasizing the transformative power of divine intervention.
How to Use: Use this prayer card in your meditation and spiritual practices, allowing the profound symbolism to guide your thoughts and intentions. Whether placed on your altar, carried with you, or used as a focal point in your rituals, the Holy Mountain Prayer Card serves as a powerful reminder of the spiritual forces that shape our lives.
